Graphic Art in Steel

	Almost completely framed, the house gleams in the sun.
The very tip top of the roof. A spider web of steel, or the hub of a space station?
	Looking down into the back yard.
The eye is ever fascinated by the play of steel against the sky. The hexagon itself has also fascinated humanity from the most primitive of times. The hexagon is the regular geometric figure most easily drawn with a straight edge and a compass. The Pennsylvania Dutch based a form of folk art upon the hexagon. The builders were actually surprised at how easy it was to construct the angles. In a way, I found it a shame to finish the house and cover up the graphic art of its skeleton.
